Beauty - the Reality!!

Rahul is a guy who always falls a prey to beauty and appearances.He likes to befriend a person just for the fact that he is smart.In short he feels smartness is equal to sophistication.

In company he recently joined, he noticed that there were not many smart and beautiful people around.But Still  he did manage to locate a couple of them.He thanked God for that as at least he can try to establish a relationship with them.

Leaving the beautiful ladies in the list apart the story's focus is on  the Mr.Handsome -Gowtham.

Gowtham is in a lead position in the company and Rahul was in his team.Rahul felt elated and fortunate for this.

There is a known fact that where there is a handsome man, there will always be girls and even guys around him to flatter him.But it was strange that none was around Gowtham in spite of his good looks and professional looking behavior.

Rahul found it more mysterious than before and wanted to definitely talk and end up in a good rapport with Gowtham.He inquired about Gowtham to his team mates who have been working with him for the same tenure.

But he could just hear people telling not much about his character but more about his workaholic nature.He was wondering why could any one not tell about his personal traits.He even questioned that and the answer was that Gowtham was very professional and he does not like to indulge in any personal relationships with any one.In fact this was one of the reasons for him becoming the Lead soon.

Rahul was very attracted now towards him and he made up his mind to make Gowtham his best buddy in the office.

During the team meetings and task allocations Rahul had opportunities to talk to Gowtham but just professionally.Rahul was waiting for a chance to initiate casual talks and he found that Gowtham stays near to him.

Rahul planned to stay late at work and wanted to travel with Gowtham to his place in Gowtham's car.

It was 10 at night when Gowtham started back to his residence and found that Rahul was sitting all alone blinking at the monitor.

Gowtham: Hey...no signs of leaving?

Rahul: Ya Gowtham, Have to.But this code is not working out.
 

Gowtham: The dead line is on Friday.Two more days to go.So Come little early tomorrow and wrap it up.Leave now.Common.
 

Rahul:Yeah Gowtham.If you say then it will be correct as you are my lead.I will pack up now.
 

Gowtham:I just said what I felt could be right.May be you know your skills better.Decide accordingly.Bye!
 

Rahul:Iam planning to leave.Bye! (Wanted Gowtham to ask for accompanying him)..(Does not want to lose this chance), Gowtham, do you go to your home now?
 

Gowtham: Yes, of course.Do you have any problems in that?
 

Rahul:(Surprisingly shocked!!)Hey not at all!I think you live at Royapettah, where I do reside.Hence thought if I could come along with you as I have not booked any cab or I don't have any straight buses there.
 
Gowtham:Hm!I don't encourage this at office.If you have the plan to stretch then you should have the mind to book a cab as well.This is judiciously right.Do you really want to drop you????(eye brows lifted up with a mark of sarcasm.)
 

Rahul:Well, I told my practical difficulties in commuting and thought you would be kind enough to drop me.Still if you are not comfortable then...
 

Gowtham:Hey stop it...Just shut down your machine and come.I will drop you.I have not done this for many.Still I pity you.Come, but mind it this is the last time too.
 

Rahul:Thank you Boss!I mean it.(a sign of relief and victory)
 

Gowtham was in deed a good driver.He was not talking anything and was just looking at the roads chewing a bubble gum.
 

Rahul:Hey man!You don't seem like an introvert!! But still you keep calm always.Is that because you want to be professional? Sorry, Just out of curiosity..
 

Gowtham:(A mild laugh and a wink!)No my boy, not at all.Iam not an extrovert.Iam very concerned when it comes to talking.Its a serious business in deed.
 

Rahul:Boss, even talking is a business for you!OMG!!(Laughing)
 

Gowtham:Yeah, this is a business minded world.So everything is a business for me and for you too.May be you  are little young to understand this.How old are you?
 

Rahul:Iam not very old.Just 22 years.I hope you will be not more than 27.
 

Gowtham:So you are indirectly asking my age!(hahah).Well, Iam one among the so called middle aged group.Entered 30 just a month back.
 

Rahul:Is it.....I cannot believe!!You look really younger than your age....You are smart man!!!
 

Gowtham: Is it?I don't consider that.
 

Minutes passed and pin drop silence prevailed inside the car.
 

Rahul:(Again trying to play his master plan!)Gowtham, By the way how long have you been here ?I mean with the company.
 

Gowtham:Why do you want to know that?Planning to complain about me and kick me out!?
 

Rahul:OMG!! why do you ask such weird questions?Not at all.Just want to know about your experiences here and something about the company.
 

Gowtham:My experiences!Nothing to do for you.You have to get your own experiences.About the company, the HR would have told you elaborately in the Induction meeting.
 

Rahul:OK Iam sorry!I think you are not interested to answer such questions.You carry on with your driving.
 

Gowtham:HAHAHA!Not really.But kind of true!
 

 Rahul was thinking what was Gowtham made of.His attitude towards people and his subordinates were very different in fact strange.Still Rahul had an inclination towards people who are smart.So he wanted to explore more about Gowtham.
 

 Rahul:Gowtham, Can I ask you one last thing before I get down?
 

Gowtham:Yes , what's that?Do you want to pay me for this drive?
 

Rahul:What!?What do you say??you want me to pay for this ride!!sorry, that was not.I wanted to ask you if you are married.
 

Gowtham:Well, that should be a question for a beautiful girl or a question from a beauty to me.Why do you want o know that?What the hell are you going to do with the information?!Are you trying for any other kind of relationship with me??Stupid!!Iam not such a kind of person.I don't talk more and don't like being asked more too.Understand!Do your job and stay away.I play a key role in the company's decision making process.So better be careful with me.Common get down here.I have to take a U-turn now for my home.
 

Rahul was completely broken.OH!!! what kind of a creature he is !?He is talking too much and too bad!! Am I looking for any other relationship with him???????Humbug!You ........

Rahul wanted to blast out at Gowtham.But he cannot afford to as he has recently joined this company and he cannot resign his job now due to his commitments.

He also found the reason why people don't talk about Gowtham much and just commit a few words about him.His mind was boggling thinking what had happened a few minutes back

The sparkling eyes, the pointed sharp nose, the charismatic smile and the handsome Gowtham in all was fading in this memories as the reality in him has hammered the external beauty in Rahul's mind.

Rahul started feeling that beauty is not skin deep.The attitude and thought of a person towards other people and life decide the beauty of the person.
